It is widely used for DDoS mitigation, allowing fast, distributed filtering without manual config changes. For example: 'Drop all UDP traffic to 203.0.113.10 on port 53' , this policy can be pushed to all routers instantly via BGP. Large ISPs and CDNs use Flowspec daily to stop DDoS attacks in real-time!
