I understand that formatstrings of original measures are respected? It is indeed a great feature

There is something about changing formatstrings in pbid. If I only change the formatstring I don't see any change. It's only if I make a small change in the measure (like a line break somewhere) that the new formatstring is applied. From tabular editor it works fine.

Nope, der Einsatz lauft anders. Du kannst komplexe Formatstrings angeben, deren Parameter erst dann ausgeführt werden, wenn das entsprechende Log-Level für diese Klasse *jetzt* aktiv ist. Wenn nicht, muss der String nicht formatiert und die Parameter nicht ausgewertet werden.
