Major Shift in Florida Commercial Real Estate 🚨 Starting October 1, 2025, Florida will officially repeal the state sales tax on commercial rentals — a game-changer for tenants and landlords across the state. What this means: ✓ No state sales tax or county surtax on office, retail, warehouse & self-storage rentals (for occupancy periods beginning or after October 1, 2025) ✓ Rent through September 2025 is still taxable even if paid later. ✓ If sales tax was prepaid for October or later, landlords must issue refunds to tenants before seeking reimbursement from the state.
