Some people talk about building in the open. These folks just did it.

ALT A Note from the Team
This year was a little different!
Instead of the usual 48 hours of non-stop rush, we went with a
month-long, more mindful hackathon, giving everyone the time to
learn, build, and make mistakes along the way.
At the end of the day, our goal is to build meaningfully and bring
more people into the open source fold.
Every edition of FOSS Hack is a learning opportunity for us, too, this
year, especially, was a whole lot of experimenting. We hope you had
a good time?
If you have thoughts on what we could do different or better, drop a
line!
In the meantime, keep tinkering and stay hydrated.
Later!
Thanks to all the participants, judges,
and local hosts.

FOSSHack 2026 reminded us why open source feels so special.
People from completely different places came together to build, collaborate, help each other debug at impossible hours, and somehow turn chaotic ideas into real tools. 1/n
