Some foolish competitors of ours have signed up on Clueso as frontendtech@(company).com with the clear intention of reverse engineering our product.
At Clueso, we’re building one of the most complex frontend products ever imaginable.
Our video editor is pushing the boundary of what’s possible with client-side computing. We’ve built a library from the ground up that allows us to show video effects in real-time, which relies on diving deep into canvas, DOM render cycles, web workers, and WASM-based tooling.
No wonder they’re hell bent on reverse engineering our frontend!
And this isn’t the first time people have tried to copy our product. Throughout our journey, we’ve had several demos with “potential customers”, only to see them launch a watered-down version of Clueso (that hardly works) a few months later.
Of course, most of them have failed. When we build, we don’t do something because our competitors have done it. We do it because our customers need it.
Regardless, we could hardly care less about all this.
We’re in the process of a massive overhaul of our entire product and will have a whole new experience launching very soon.
Copy all you like while you can!
Once our new version drops, you’ll be scrambling.
