Question for @Picarro GasScouter users: has anyone seen this before? Our field tech has been having an issue where the analyser works normally for a little while, then goes weird and gives an error message.
This was actually the first time I've used it. But others have borrowed it for fieldwork and reported back positively. I preferred the GasScouter to the bigger LGR UGGA that I used to use - I always found the UGGA a bit glitchy.
Thanks! @WaterProbes that measure temp, dissolved oxygen, pH, ORP, and conductivity and upload data in real time, and we have a @Picarro GasScouter for real-time gas flux. Paddle wheels and other fixins were either 3D printed or cut on a laser cutter (happy to share specs/files).
We've got a picarro gasscouter. So far, so good. Hit us up if you need specifics. Still optimizing it for our experimental streams but the tech is great. Better yet, come down and visit us and play with it!
Hi Melinda. Thanks for the kind words about the Picarro GasScouter, and sorry to hear that shutdown has been a challenge. Would you mind emailing us at support@picarro.com, ccing jbent@picarro.com to describe the issue fully and we will see if we can come up with a solution?
Our team will be at the Industrial Methane Measurement conf., June 8-9, in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. Visit us at booth #A8 and learn about our ethylene oxide analysis solutions. You can also check out our mobile G4301 GasScouter that we have on display. bit.ly/3My6Ckk
Day 1 is going strong at #EGU22. Be sure to stop by booth 19, grab some swag, and visit our team. Ask us about our NEW G2509 that accurately measures #NH3 in livestock farming. Get a demo of our #GasScouter & high-throughput modes of our iso-water analyzer. @Eurogeosciences
Beautiful day in the field ☀️😎 Taking some measurements of #wetland#GHG fluxes using the @Picarro GasScouter and #eosAC chambers. A few black flies, but packed the perfect lunch - A @MrTaytoNI Smashie 🥪

e.g. LGR Microportable, Picarro GasScouter, LI-7810 for CO2 and CH4, then LI-7820 for N2O or I've heard great things about the new Aeris N2O analyser. Either way it won't be cheap.
Biogeochemists: Anyone have experience with #Picarro GasScouter? We've been waiting 1 year for the LGR microportable, and it was just delayed again. We haven't had great luck with the service team on the loaner... time to jump ship?!
Ice-out at last! Small CH4 fluxes observed with the @Picarro GasScouter, but will our 24hr chambers catch any bubbles?
(Yes, working on a holiday should be frowned upon, but today was the only day our analyser was free, and it was a beautiful morning to be down at the pond)
In this study, Drs. @MikePeacock86 & @GGranath paired a #Picarro GasScouter with an @Eosense eosAC chamber to capture CH4 & CO2 flux measurements in a burned & unburned forest mire. This enables us to better understand the annual carbon balance. Read more: t.ly/eHCH
Survey-style soil gas flux measurements are a breeze with the eosAC and the @Picarro GasScouter!
We wrote a Case Study with @MikePeacock86 and @GGranath who used the system to compare GHG emissions between burned and unburned forest t.ly/eHCH

Pond sampling this morning, after boring through 18cm of ice. Managed to take sediment samples for microbial analysis, and the @Picarro GasScouter seemed quite happy at temps below -10°C.
