I think a P24 solo, with, and even in, a sliding shelf of a 3rd party rack of compute, would be an excellent product and would sell, in fact it was where we started with the original GridION concept.
The A100 tower that ships with the @nanopore P24 appears to be dated to the extent where some would prefer to buy a P24 Solo 🤣 Not to mention that the original V100 towers are still around. I wonder why people worry about the P2i investment 😉

Will cherish my P2 solo. Re: the point about locking down integrated devices -- this was not my experience when tinkering years ago. Only constraint was not being able to upgrade OS, but otherwise my gridion was like any other linux box. Has this changed recently?
