Brilliant to see this in action — pupils testing materials through FUN enquiry and sorting conductors and insulators with real focus. Thanks for bringing the resource to life so beautifully! #HEPScience
⚡️We have been learning all about electricity in science! We have investigated static electricity and have been able to connect circuits to test different materials, finding conductors and insulators! ⚡️@MabLanePri @advisoryscience

Their laughter is contagious! 🤩 Love seeing Year 3 light up with excitement as they see their pupils change size. This is what science should be—real, memorable, and full of wonder! 👀✨ What a wonderful sight! Thanks so much! #HEPScience
This was year 3’s reaction when they saw their pupil size change when they went from dim light to bright light! We have learnt about why this happens and how we can protect our eyes 👀😎 @MabLanePri @advisoryscience @MissNelsonMLP

Fantastic to see pupils exploring sound through vibrations and waves! 🔊 Using models like cup phones and simple instruments makes abstract concepts tangible—helping them see (and hear!) science in action. Brilliant investigation! 🎶 #HEPScience
In our past two science lessons we have learned how sounds are created and how sound travels. We have made our own instruments to model how vibrations create sound and have created cup phones to investigate travelling sounds! 🔊📢 @MabLanePri @advisoryscience

This model is NOT easy to construct. Fabulous! But so worth it - just look at this investigation being brought to life! 🤩 Connecting sound waves to real-world models makes abstract concepts LOUD and clear. Thanks for the GREAT share!🎶 #HEPScience
Today we have learned all about the structure of our ears! We created a model as a class and linked what we know about how sound travels to explain how the water rippled! @MabLanePri @MissNelsonMLP @advisoryscience 👂🔊🥁

Love seeing Year 6 so engaged in their research! 🔍 Investigating animal adaptations like this helps them think like scientists—gathering evidence, making connections, and explaining the ‘why’ behind survival. Brilliant work! 🦎📖 #HEPScience

Brilliant to see pupils using precise scientific vocabulary while investigating how materials interact with light! Describing observations with terms like transparent, translucent, and opaque deepens understanding and builds scientific confidence. 🔦 #HEPScience
Year 3 Blue investigated which objects allowed all, some or no light through. They then used scientific vocabulary to classify the materials as transparent, translucent or opaque. 🔦💡 @MabLanePri @MissNelsonMLP @advisoryscience

Science is about testing, observing, and refining ideas right from an early age —this investigation captures it perfectly! 🌊 Such a great way to make science real for pupils using everyday materials. #HEPScience THIS level of focus though... ✨Thanks so much for sharing!
In Science Year 1 have been learning about ‘Everyday Materials’. Today they investigated ‘waterproof’ and ‘absorbent’ @MabLanePri @advisoryscience

Perrymoor have spent their afternoon testing rocks. We completed three tests. We tested how hard rocks are, if they sink or float, and if they react with acid. We made predictions and then made observations. We ensured that we had a fair test for each. #HEPScience
