I was thinking maybe you got it mixed up with the armament of CSS Acadia...but nope she had a 4".
Random sidenote: Acadia in terms of heavy guns, she outgunned Sackville, having a 4" AND a 3" gun... that's a bit surprising (Acadia lacked all the quick firing smaller guns tho)
It's hard to say. Sackville's status as Canada's Navy Memorial gives her a unique status. Parks Canada, which I believe owns and operates Haida might not want her status changed. I'd have to know all the details, especially financial, that come into play.
Instantly becomes the most heavily armed commissioned vessel despite her age LOL
This would be awesome though.
Can we do @HMCSHAIDA next? What you think @HalifaxAuthor@RLitwiller ?
HMCS Sackville, the last-surviving Flower-class corvette of the Second World War, will soon be formally recommissioned into the Royal Canadian Navy (RCN).

Good article Ian, more people should visit them both! It would help to cure the maritime blindness that you mention! While in Halifax they can also visit the Naval Museum at Stadacona.
As my friends here know, I have a passion for history and for museums. So I was delighted to contribute something about two important Canadian naval museums to @mainlymuseums. (I’m lookin’ at you, @HMCSSACKVILLE1 @HMCSHAIDA!) mainlymuseums.com/
I'm about 8 days late for this 3 year anniversary (I knew it was August, forgot the dates) of when I met @Drachinifel & @ACNavalHistory aboard @HMCSHAIDA haven't missed a non-Drydock video by Drachinifel since. And getting caught up on some of his older ones. Hope to meet again
#OTD 2/8/1942 #RememberRCN -HMCS SACKVILLE escorting Convoy ON-115, her skipper Lt Alan Easton was in the corvettes crow’s nest to get a better view of the convoy, when he sights U552 on the surface & engages the U-boat with gunfire, fighting the battle from the crow's nest.
A conman posing as a doctor. A warship bound for Korea and a story that is so wild you WON’T want to miss it! Retired Andy Barber, a signalman who served on #HMCSHaida, tells the unbelievable story of “The Conman Doctor” who served aboard #HMCSCayuga during the Korean War.
One of only 2 airworthy (plus one taxiing capable) Lancaster bombers
We have the only Tribal class destroyer left @HMCSHAIDA
Now if the @HMCSSACKVILLE1 could make a visit... I wonder would that even be possible? Could she make that journey? @RLitwiller@HalifaxAuthor ?
