No idea, don’t even need a high powered pc for a htpc, the small boxes on amazon can be reasonably priced! I use them all the time, 1-300$ easily! Youtube ad-free :)
Good call.
I’m about to do the same .. my foray into building an HTPC on my delightful new proxmox server went … poorly.
I’ll definitely explore their monitors. Even if it does mean actually wearing my glasses (resist!) if I can get sharp resolution like that I’ll take it.
I have the PSP versions on my Steam Deck and my HTPC but I use the PS1 artwork for the box art because I find them more appealing and feel like they provide a more proper tone for the games.
one of the cheapest builds for a Linux desktop with parts from PCPartPicker today that total $437.37,
integrated graphics and 8GB of RAM but im reading this power supply is prone to failure and not sure this is worth it, it may be good if you want to run Omarchy or stream some compute from the cloud but idk quite yet.

Nope. Its not a PC. Its not supporting Steam. Its a treditional console with some tweaks in the OS side to be more flexible to be a gaming console and HTPC. Its not running fully fledged windows.
Sounds interesting. I own this little NUC digitec.ch/en/s1/product/ace… and I use it as a HTPC. I think about installing some Linux for KDE Plasma Big Screen, once it’s out, now maybe I’ll wait for this instead (as I don’t really trust HDMI CEC to work flawlessly)
Basically a non upgradeable, small formfactor htpc. Sounds cool but it doesn’t have the upgradeable ram. Cpu or gpu aspect that pc folk like and will be very expensive. Kind of a hard sell.
Agreed. Not eveyone need HiEnd hardware. But regular hardware that fits here will cost just same as this single case. PSU is still need to be cooled.
Regular HTPC will do just fine and be almost silent.
And anyway you will need to clean radiators of this case. So it is not "zero maintenance".
This is just an example of overengineering and a marketing for those who isn't into tech.
