What started as a random thought and one Instagram video turned into 500 founder applications in 48 hours.
The funny part? We were genuinely prepared for ZERO.
For a while, one idea kept bothering me.
If I’ve spent years building, making mistakes, understanding margins, distribution, scale, why not open my office for founders who are at that messy zero to one stage? The stage where everything feels unclear, resources are limited and every decision feels heavy.
That’s how HMHY (Help Me Help You) started.
I recorded a simple video and put it out on Instagram.
Internally, we were joking that if nobody showed up, we would call a few folks from the Zypp team, sit them in the room, solve their startup problems and at least make the time useful.
It was also our backup plan to make sure we didn’t look like we failed.
But the moment the video went live, something unexpected happened. Over 500 founders applied within 48 hours.
That’s when it really hit me. There are far more serious builders out there than we realise. People who are quietly building, experimenting, struggling and still showing up every single day.
We hosted the first session without overthinking it. There was no perfect setup or polished format because we are still figuring out how to do this the right way.
10 founders walked in on day 1.
We started at 7 PM and ended at 10 PM, spending three straight hours in honest conversations with the only intent: "HELP".
Some were already live and selling. Some were stuck with operational issues. Some were looking for mentorship. But all of them came with real problems.
They showed up with ideas, problems, numbers and clarity about what wasn’t working. We broke down what actually works versus what just sounds good to them. We spoke about the uncomfortable part which nobody glamorises.
I feel that those small, practical insights shared in that room can easily save a founder months of mistakes.
We hosted the second session the following week, and another one is happening tomorrow. Because the response has been overwhelming and the quality of hustlers walking in has been strong, we’re now turning this into a weekly session.
"Help Me Help You" is simply a new giveback initiative from my side :)
If you are building something and you are stuck, don’t come for inspiration. Come with your problem, your numbers and your assumptions ready to be challenged and go out with a perspective.
I'd love to invite accomplished founders to join me in making this more valuable for founders building in Bharat.
Fill the form in the comments and my team will reach out.
