Beautiful buds🧡🌿🤎
I love the distinctively-sticky, resin-covered buds of horse chestnut. They overwinter on the tree, awaiting spring.
Horse chestnuts are named after the horseshoe-shaped leaf scars, clearly visible below the buds #HeraldofSpring

Cerise star of the hazel's female flower🌸
