These are the four farmers who I was able to help in a ridiculously small way through social investment program. I am hoping to support at least one more farmer before this year ends. It gives a little relief to my heart to be able to see faces, know names, and receive regular updates on how my little contribution from my pension is helping real families on the ground. I am especially grateful to my family for supporting me in my choices and always showing up for me with enthusiasm and encouragement. If you can help anyone in your life, in making their lives better, without expecting anything in return, please do. No matter how small that may look to you, it can be life changing for the one receiving that support. I do hope and wish to meet some of these people in person when given the opportunity. Cooking. Community. Harmony. Three things that always bring me joy. Yesterday I prepared my special Sweet-n-Sour Peppers recipe. Enough to serve about a hundred people at tomorrow’s community kitchen. It always feels good cooking for community, creating something that will be shared by many. I don't care about the attention or recognition. I prefer being behind the scenes. Watching people arrive. Rich and poor. Young and old. From every walk of life. Sitting together, eating together, sharing one space as equals. That moment always fills me with hope for our humanity. I am grateful I finished cooking before my health slowed me today. Already someone dear to my heart is dealing with health challenges that have been keeping me up at night. Still, my heart feels light knowing tomorrow the food will be waiting. The kitchen will be alive with stories, laughter, and care. This is why I serve. To celebrate dignity. To celebrate unity in diversity. To remind us all that around the table, we belong. And - many thanks to the volunteers to help with my photos and editing to make sure my words express exactly what I seek to say. You are my angels. Always feels good to help.

I am not the one to usually talk about my charitable contributions. However, today is different. A day absolutely filled with joy and gratitude. I woke up to the news that the contributions I made using my pension helped four farmers, three of them were women. That makes me incredibly happy.
