We hosted another successful edition of IPADE IMOLE at Ilesa, yesterday. I had the opportunity to interact with representatives of different groups and stakeholders across the state. I listened to their commendations, concerns and requests as it affects their members and the people of Osun.
In my remark at the event, I highlighted, sector by sector, our administration’s scorecard in the past 16 months. Ensuring the welfare of our workers, both active and retired, remains our first line charge, to promoting local content in implementing our policies and programs, notably in delivering our Multi Billion Naira Infrastructure Plan that cuts across road construction, rehabilitation of schools and Primary Health Centers (PHC), and provision of clean water to the people of the state.
I also disclosed some of our upcoming initiatives across various sectors that includes the conclusion of the ongoing recruitment of 5,250 teachers and education officers, who will be equipped with modern teaching techniques; the tractor lease program for farmers ahead of the new planting season; complete renovation of Osogbo city sport stadium as part of our ongoing efforts to revitalize the sport sector in the state; recruitment of young people to Imole Youth Corps as a means to actively engage our young population in productive activities and reduce unemployment.
I remain grateful to our royal fathers, led by the Ooni of Ife, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Enitan Ogunwusi (Ojaja I), for their support and prayers, representatives of various groups and organizations across the state and the entire people of Osun. I assure you that we will continue to prioritize the development of the people and the state at all times.
