Hormuud Salaam Foundation conducted a humanitarian visit today to the Mogadishu Central Prison, delivering five camels and essential food items including flour, rice, sugar, milk, dates, cooking oil, as well as Eid clothing for inmates held at the facility.
The Foundation also extended financial support to disabled veterans of the Somali National Army who are currently receiving care at Martini Hospital, having sustained injuries during the 1977 war. Additionally, they provided a camel, dates, and critically needed wheelchairs to support their mobility and daily living needs.
This intervention is part of the Foundation’s Ramadan Iftar and Vulnerable Support Initiative. For the 14th consecutive year, the program has been distributing both financial aid and food assistance to more than 67,000 vulnerable beneficiaries, including patients, prisoners, persons with disabilities, refugees, and individuals with special needs.
