According to the MoRTH Road Accident Report 2023, people under 25 years of age constituted 25.5% of total road traffic accident deaths in 2023. This highlights the critical need to cultivate strong behavioural change among youngsters at a young and impressionable age, enabling them to grow into responsible and conscious road users who practice defensive and safe road behaviour. On December 11th, RBG Labs, IIT Madras successfully organised a Capacity Building Workshop for Master Trainers on Road Safety, with support from Ford, bringing together school students, teachers, and traffic wardens. The workshop focused on imparting core road safety concepts using Activity-Based Learning (ABL) pedagogy, ensuring immersive, hands-on learning that moves beyond awareness to understanding and responsible action. RBG Labs extends its sincere thanks to Respected DCP Avadi, Thiru Sangu, IPS, for his inspiring and impactful address to the students, motivating them to view road safety as a shared responsibility. The event concluded with the distribution of certificates and a comprehensive resource kit, empowering participants to independently conduct similar workshops in their respective schools and communities.
