This is a very powerful image, straight from a protest rally organized by members of transnational
#ChinKuki community.
For people who are not from Manipur, let me walk you through the emotions that went into writing this placard.
#ChinKuki, as stated, a transnational community, is found in India, Burma, Bangladesh & have recently started squatting in Israel, particularly in either Kibbutz or frontlines of that country.
In recent times, due to their unending silent incursion into India's North East, particularly in Manipur, the existent socio-economic & political praxis has been violated enormously, resulting in social tensions between the natives and them.
While
#ChinKukis who have come before 1951 are readily accepted as part of the Indian citizenry, the reluctance of the new arrivals after 1951 to move back to their country of origin has created a situation where the resource-scarce Manipur is witnessing frequent violent confrontations between the indigenous communities and these post-1951
#ChinKuki arrivals.
The
#ManipurViolence of May 3, 2023 engineered & perpetuated by
#KukiNarcoTerrorists have been spearheaded by new arrivals namely Thanglianpau Guite (an ex-MP from Myanmar) and PS Haokip (Mongloi village, Myanmar).
The placard shown below is a clarion call of the
#ChinKukis to separate them from the post-1951
#ChinKukis and any delay in such process would mean perpetual heartaches for all the stakeholders.
