80 yrs August 15 1944, my uncle, Paul Francis Seil, then age 21, died in service to his country inNormandy, France. Feast of the Assumption of the BVM. He had been studying for the priesthood, but left the seminary - as did others - to fight global darkness/Hitler.

#LibertyShip James Eagan Layne was named after the 2nd Assist. Engineer on the Esso Baton Rouge was torpedoed on Apr 8, 1942. Layne of Baton Rouge, LA was 39 yrs.old. His brother Robert Layne died while serving in the US Army inNormandy on 11 Jun 1944. #RememberingHeroes🇺🇸⚓️

Saint Clotilde(475-545)
is a patron of queens,widows,brides&those in exile. InNormandy especially she was venerated as the patroness of the lame,those who came to a violent death&women who suffered from ill tempered husbands.
Her relics are in the ÉgliseSaintLeuSaintGilles,Paris
