What an incredible week at
#FETC2026! 🎮✨
I had the honor of being a Featured Speaker in the IT Leaders Track at the Future of Education Technology Conference in Orlando—one of the largest gatherings of K-12 edtech decision-makers with nearly 600 expert-led sessions.
Over four days, I delivered 7 sessions covering everything from K-12 cybersecurity resilience and AI implementation to esports, drone soccer, and our innovative elementary experiences at Wichita Public Schools - USD259. The energy and enthusiasm from educators ready to level up their practice was absolutely inspiring.
Highlights from my sessions:
🔐 The Cyber Shield: Building K–12 Resilience in an Era of Escalating Threats
🎮 Next Generation Learning: Esports & Drone Soccer in Wichita Schools
🤖 Laying the Groundwork: Empowering Organizations with AI
💻 Cracking the Code: Building Future-Ready Minds in Elementary School
🏫 Creative Minds: Learning by Doing in a Vertical Classroom
The Future Focused Forums gave us space for deep collaboration and candid conversations about what's next in education. There's something special about connecting with fellow IT leaders, district innovators, and classroom visionaries who share the passion for transforming learning.
And there is also getting to hang with my friends Jacob Kantor, Michael Conner, Ed.D., and Julia Fallon
Huge thanks to my fellow IT Leaders Track speakers—Dr. Joe Phillips, Dr. Amy Jackson, PMP, CETL, CCRE, and Phil Hintz, Ed.S.—and to everyone who stopped by my sessions, asked tough questions, and shared their own stories of innovation.
