Bringing to life, good street design isn't glamorous work—it's hard-fought coordination between agencies, a lot of site visits & plenty of drama often spread across years. We often forget that these "wins" aren't accidents. They are the result of years of invisible work—by planners, engineers, and city officials who showed up, argued for better, and refused to settle for the status quo. Mmrda has formally taken possession of 174.01 hectares of land at Mogarpada, Taluka and District Thane, for the development of a world-class, integrated Metro Car Depot. This strategically located depot will serve as the central operations and maintenance facility for Metro Lines 4, 4A, 10 and 11 spanning a combined network of 55.99 km from CSMT, Mumbai to Mira Road. Key Facilities at Mogarpada Metro Depot The Mogarpada Depot is equipped with: •Workshop Lines for heavy maintenance-10 •Inspection Lines for daily and routine checks- 10 •Stabling Lines to house trains overnight-64 •Under floor Wheel Lathe for wheel profiling of rolling stock. •Auto & Heavy Wash Systems for regular cleaning of trains. •Blow-Down Plant for de-dusting under frame and roof equipment. •CMV Workshop for stabling and maintenance of catenary vehicles. •Depot Control Centre (DCC) and training rooms for operations. •Staff Quarters for essential depot personnel.
