@brainage19 you don't really need J2EE/JSF2 knowledge to break in Java. Spring abstracts J2EE a lot, and you can view JSF2 as just another templating DSL.
For J2EE you can just reference the Specs, jakarta.ee/specifications/ which I'd put as a "final boss" for most people.
I don't think I would mind being sent to work in the "java 8 mines" so to speak but I'm trying to find resources on libraries and can't find much. I found resources for Spring Boot but I couldn't find much from the past 10 years on J2EE or JSF2
If JSF2 is the starter he will go farther with a more successful franchise that historically has had good offensive line men and good coaching unlike the bears . I won’t give a win total for either franchise but I see the steelers with more dubs . Prove me wrong bears TBD
Na graduação codei em portugol usando Turbo Pascal 7.0, peguei um fim da hipper dole Delphi, passei pela desgraça chamada Hibernate com .*.hbm.xml e EJB2 com interfaces locais e remotas, vi Struts2 nascer e morrer junto com JSF2 e JSP (e todo rolê de especificações J2EE)...
