Amb @ManishPrabhat06 met Mr. Karan Khosla, who participated from Denmark in the 87th edition of the Know India Programme for Indian diaspora youth. In the debriefing, Mr. Karan shared his enriching experience from the programme and reflected on his journey of reconnecting with India’s heritage, culture, and development initiatives. He found wide-ranging engagements with Indian institutions in public policy, planning, defence and security, elections and others very useful. He recalled the visit to Assam for interaction held at IIT Guwahati and spiritual and cultural experience at Kamakhya Temple. As a token of his visit to Assam, Mr. Karan presented tea from Assam to Ambassador. Ambassador appreciated his enthusiastic participation and encouraged him to act as a bridge between India and Denmark by sharing his experiences with the wider Indian diaspora community. The Embassy will continue to encourage the diaspora youth in Denmark to participate in the #KnowIndiaProgramme. #KIP

VIF was delighted to host the participants of the 87th Know India Programme (KIP), organised by the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India. Dr. Arvind Gupta, Director, VIF, delivered the welcome remarks and spoke on India’s ethos of unity in diversity, the concept of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam, and the evolution of language translation initiatives such as BHASHINI. The participants also received an overview of India’s defence structure and national security architecture from Lt. Gen. R. K. Sawhney, Centre Head & Senior Fellow, VIF. Prof. Hari Babu Srivastava, former DG, DRDO and Professor of Practice at IIT Delhi, highlighted India’s technological growth driven by the expansion of scientific and technological institutions. The Ministry of External Affairs from the Government of India presents the Know India Programme (KIP), a three week program in India which connects Diaspora youth (21–35 years of age) of Indian origin with India’s rich culture and modern achievements. From visiting Parliament and top institutions to exploring startups, science, yoga, and cultural heritage — KIP is a journey of identity, discovery, and connection.
