#SapruHouse. Ms. Aparna Ray, Joint Secretary, CCCS, PP&R, MEA, New Delhi delivered the opening remarks at the seminar. She highlighted the importance of study of China and appreciated ICWA for organising a national seminar on the subject.

This session examined how the concept of national security has evolved in China now encompassing areas including security & development, economy, technology, politics, energy, military, and internal stability. China’s recent global initiative such as GSI, GDI, GCI were seen as China’s growing global ambitions. Experts also discussed the internal and external challenges faced by China.
