Earlier this week, we joined innovators, educators, policymakers, and labour voices at the #Omniverse Africa Summit in #Lagos, Nigeria. The discussion on the "Scaling Africa's Innovation and Infrastructure" early on at the event focused on the adoption and scaling of innovation solutions. Jade Egerton, Olumide Akinsola Gigitax, and Peter Olusoji Ogundele, Ericsson, Nigeria, spoke extensively on this We also joined in the private-public dialogue hosted by GIZ Nigeria & ECOWAS, and the Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (@LSETF ). A session particularly interesting for us as technology and knowledge transfer company and our involvement in education and training projects in Africa Talent acquisition, training infrastructure, and what Nigeria’s new employment policy law means in practice were a major focus. Lateef Demilola Shitta, from the Ministry of Wealth Creation And Employment, Lagos State Government, Abiola Alayande of ICS Outsourcing Nigeria Limited and GIZ brought in perspectives on various existing and developing initiatives to address skills gaps, increase private sector participation and funding opportunities. Thanks to the Omniverse organising team for creating room for these important discussions and now look forward seeing and contributing to various implementation. #Omniverse3 #technology #innovation

I represented Governor Sanwo-Olu at the Omniverse Africa Summit 3.0 today at the Wole Soyinka Centre for Culture and Creative Arts. The focus of this year's summit, organized by the LSETF, was all about building a connected future through real collaboration. It is clear that when we sync our efforts across tech, culture, and governance, the impact multiplies. Lagos remains fully committed to backing our innovators and creators, ensuring they have the right ecosystem to build solutions that transcend borders.

Bridging talent and opportunity. On 21st May 2026, the Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (LSETF), in partnership with King's Trust International (KTI) and implemented by Field of Skills and Dreams (FSD), hosted the Get Hired Recruitment Fair at NECA House — marking the successful culmination of the LSETF x KTI Employability Support Project. Over 300 young Lagosians were onboarded, 160 completed hands-on employability training, and 20 employers showed up to open real doors to internships and permanent roles. From CV reviews and coaching to digital learning and a full recruitment fair — the Get Hired Programme was designed to meet young people where they are and take them where they want to go. Because preparing talent is only half the work. Creating opportunity is the other. @jidesanwoolu @drobafemihamzat @gbenga_omo @gboyegaakosile @LanreBajulaiye @BarrBimbola @Mr_JAGs @Riddwane #GetHired #LSETF #KingsTrustInternational #YouthEmpowerment #LagosCares #EmployabilitySkills #LagosJobs #FieldOfSkillsAndDreams #YouthDevelopment #EconomicInclusion
