Today I (mostly) loved my job as an Educational Technology Specialist - and it is all because of the people…it is honestly ALWAYS because of the people! 💕 These are some of the best people-y things I got to do today!
❤️ I onboarded a very sweet brand new special education teacher who had never EVER used ANY of the programs and platforms we do - and she was a delight! What a joy!
❤️ I helped a principal figure out how to adjust training logs & attendance in our new system.
❤️ I met with a supervisor to help practice for sharing a Canva during a Google Meet before she actually had to do it for the 1st time tomorrow.
❤️ I helped 2 very different but equally creative teachers with Canva email signatures - and they were enthralled! Love ‘em both!
❤️ Thanks to a question from a favorite secretary pal, I found & then created new resources for ALL of my district secretaries about the best way to create labels with Google Docs.
❤️ I FINALLY got a very patient & kind new teacher connected to all of the systems & programs she needs to be connected to, and she was so nice to me (even though she should have been frustrated). 🥰
❤️ I facilitated orders and POs for some pretty DREAMy teachers (and learned some new stuff along the way)
❤️ I helped a supervisor by liaising with my I.T. buds to puzzle through why a Google feature just wasn’t working for us…and it’s now a great solution for all of us!
❤️ I got the last batch of my
#LearningInTheLoo sent out to my awesome
#LooCrew volunteers to hang up in our elementary schools. Thanks Loo Crew!🙏🏼
❤️ I finally started my 1st “Edtech Team Wrap” of this year - it’s a recap doc that I share with my own
#edtech team every few weeks so that we’re all on the same page with all of the programs, systems, and happenings in my “small but mighty” edtech department.
Today was mostly a good day, and all the gratitude tonight is because of the people with whom I get to work and doing the job I was actually hired to do.
