The primary purpose of an LRS is to validate the conformance of data to the xAPI spec (soon the 9274 standard). If if doesn’t do that 100% correctly, it is not an LRS. Might be the fanciest datastore in the world, but it’s not an LRS.

Like @snapsynapse just playing around so far but LL is my favorite. Hosted on AWS the cost can get a little bit noticeable, but setup is easy and it’s extremely intuitive.
