📚 In Rohtak today, classrooms look different.
Small hands move beads, children count with smiles, and words come alive through play. Learning feels joyful.
But this wasn’t always the case.
For years, many children attended school but struggled with basic reading and math. This gap was noticed by IAS officer Narendra Kumar during his field visits as Additional Deputy Commissioner. One thing became clear - children were present, but learning was missing.
💡 This insight led to NIPUN Vatika under the NIPUN Bharat Mission.
Instead of pressure, the focus shifted to experience.
🎲 Activity-based classrooms replaced rote learning
🔤 Alphabet cards, counting beads, and word boards made learning interactive
🧠 Curiosity replaced fear
👩🏫 Teachers were trained through workshops and continuous support, helping them move beyond traditional methods.
🌱 And the change?
• Children became more active and confident
• Attendance improved
• Parents started engaging more in their child’s learning
📈 Today, NIPUN Vatika is gaining momentum across Haryana, with plans to expand across blocks.
Because the real question was never whether children were coming to school…
It was whether learning was reaching them.
And in Rohtak, that answer is slowly changing. ✨
