Thank you so much. It's amazing to see all of the pollinators enjoying these nectar rich plants! A perfect embodiment of our #LetsGetPollinating campaign 🐞🐝🦋🐜

Our #YoungFarmers grew these plants for a new local wildflower area. They sowed the seeds, pricked the seedlings out into modules, watered & hardened them off. A wonderful development in their #LetsGetPollinating campaign for the local community @IlluminateSE16 #SE16 @WildLondon

The peach and nectarine trees on the youth allotment are looking beautiful with their pink blossom. The bees are enjoying foraging for nectar in the open flowers too. #letsgetpollinating #southwarknature #se16 @surreydocksfarm

We can confirm that this is a leaf cutter bee: we found circular notches in nearby bean & peach leaves which they use to seal their eggs in the tubes. The youth allotment @surreydocksfarm is absolutely brimming with wildlife! #LetsGetPollinating #SouthwarkNature #SE16 #wildlife
Whilst watering the youth allotment at @surreydocksfarm we saw this bee crawling out of the insect hotel the #YoungFarmers installed during @LondonNPC Can anyone identify it? As two of the tubes are sealed with leaves could it be a leafcutter bee? #se16 #cityfarm #southwarknature

"We also did a bit of research on wasps and realised that although wasps have a bad reputation as being aggressive they are also important pollinators as they travel from plant to plant carrying pollen" #LetsGetPollinating #SouthwarkNature
"Yesterday when I went on a walk to Oxleas wood, I found a large hornet-like insect on a log. I identified it & think that it might be a female median wasp? It was fairly large & I have never seen anything like it before! I was lucky to get a picture of it" #LetsGetPollinating

What we think is a Gatekeeper butterfly resting on a children's watering can at the Farm today. A great one for #LetsGetPollinating - the campaign the Young Farmers are leading.

"We went for a walk in Greenwich Park & the flowers were beautiful. We even saw a bee pollinating. I recommend the flower garden because there are a variety of different colours of flowers it is most likely you will spot lots of bees 🐝 pollinating" #LetsGetPollinating

This is a hornet mimic hover fly. About 2cm long it’s one of the largest flies in Britain and is very distinctive but harmless! Its mimicry of a hornet helps keep predators, such as birds away. #southwarknature #wildlondon #letsgetpollinating
