On the contrary, a bottom-up strategy can be very effective.
In Britain, prior to #LinuxinginLondon most #Linux events would get ~8-10 people.
Typically we would have about 60 to 80, or if the venue permitted 120 .
We ended up with about 2950 members, so Linux can be popular!

Yet another awesome session from @LinuxingInLDN @BrianLinuxing, definitely going to be looking into using @Mattermost more now that I know about some of its features (especially within uni)! And to win a prize in the raffle is such a cool bonus :D. #LinuxingInLondon #mattermost
