We were honored to take part in "A Fargo Salute to Public Service" on Tuesday, June 3, alongside
@thecityoffargo and
@FMRedHawks.
This special event celebrated the incredible work of City staff and highlighted how
#LocalGovWorks to serve our community every day. The
#FargoPD was pleased to play a big role in the evening’s festivities.
Our night at the ballpark included an on-field swear-in ceremony of our newest police officers — a moment made even more meaningful surrounded by community support. Before the national anthem was sung by our friends from Slamabama, members of the FPD Honor Guard and City staff helped unfurl a large American flag, provided by
@EllingsonCo, in centerfield, setting a powerful tone for the evening.
During the game, our officers helped young fans cross the finish line during the Race to the Rescue and assisted in throwing our special baseballs and Fargo t-shirts between innings. Our new FPD Trikkes also made their debut as we escorted the RedHawks Ground Crew in style.
Thank you to The City of Fargo, the RedHawks and everyone who came out for a memorable night celebrating service, teamwork and community pride.
