Congratulations to me, I satisfied
@SDSNYouth @localpathways team, and I just received my certificate🎈🍾🎉
The past 11 months has met me with rigorous work, and learning as a fellow, and i am grateful for this opportunity.
During my time as a Local Pathways Fellow, I conducted research on:
“Addressing Housing Inequality and Informal Settlements in Abuja: Pathway to Achieving SDG 11.1.”
I chose this because I live in Abuja, and I’ve seen how housing inequality shapes daily life.
Rapid urban growth has pushed low-income residents into informal settlements with insecure tenure, poor sanitation, overcrowding, and limited access to basic services.
Housing isn’t just shelter.
It affects health, education, productivity, and long-term opportunity.
My research focused on:
• Policy gaps in urban housing frameworks
• The exclusion of informal settlements from formal planning
• Community-driven, evidence-based pathways toward SDG 11.1
• Inclusive urban policy reform
This work strengthened my focus on urban governance, housing equity, and SDG localization.
I don’t want to stop here,
I’m open to collaborations, research partnerships, and policy-focused projects working on sustainable cities and inclusive development.
Let’s build cities that work for everyone.
