I’m in internal Slack channels with several large, well-regarded service agencies (marketing/ads/creative/analytics)…I can tell you operators would be horrified if they knew what they’re getting sold in the AI era General trend I’m seeing is clients are demanding cost reductions around AI efficiencies…so agency owners have been slashing prices and trying to offset with higher client volume But the agencies aren’t hiring to keep up…they’re just piling the extra work onto their existing team, while forcing them to use enshitified, half-functional vibe coded internal tools to try to gain output efficiency So now even the former superstar top producers are literally just shoveling complete slop onto clients. I just witnessed a 15 year experienced logops analyst shipping Claude reports to a client with completely unverified data as capstone on a $50K service agreement… I also just saw a creative strategist build a $100K content production plan around a generic AI skill file…which they then later realized wasn’t actually able to even process the full content it was supposed to analyze And exec managers seem to just be spending all day in a state of AI psychosis feverishly running random slop reports then dumping new initiatives onto their underlings Nobody cares about their work anymore…everyone seems burnt out and demotivated in a mad dash to stay afloat. And the quality of output is rapidly deteriorating
