The guy has been pushing for data localization since he got into office, and it was among his discussions in every meeting he had with MDAs. He was quite busy in his first year visiting all of them. Now I may be wrong, but I am of the opinion that he may have even gone beyond meetings by lobbying to get officers under his ministries appointed into many key offices because every MDA my company have done or is currently doing something for is singing the same song. I have been in meetings with HoDs and some PSs who were recently transferred from their ministry (FMCID) to their current place of assignment. At least 3 demanded a storage at a key location for their use, while some others agreed to colocation in a data centre. And these days, the officials of the NDPC are always present at all meetings to guide and ask important questions.

This is one major reason I am very disappointed in @FMCIDENigeria @bosuntijani. I personally thought this was supposed to be his 1st priority to harmonise & create a central database of all Nigerians accessible to other MDAs. @CRDCUPolicyFGN @natpopcom

It's sad. Many will choose silence in the hope of an employment opportunity in government or board slot in MDAs.
