I'll be completely honest: I've always felt that you guys in the influencer boxing scene valued the "spectacle" and "views" side of things more than the actual boxing. A lot of people have come out recently talking about how influencer boxing is a complete circus now. Even if it is still really popular, the problem is that the matchmaking and the level of skill displayed in the influencer fights (not MFPro) has been shockingly bad as of late.
I know you guys want influencer boxing to be more similar to the WWE than actual professional boxing. I get that. However, you can't act surprised if people call it a "clown show" or "dead" because the fights are absolutely dead. The last truly great Misfits event was Misfits 019. Before that, it was Misfits 012. Before that, the Prime Card. There have only been 3 great influencer boxing events in almost 3 years. By "great", I don't mean that they sold well; I mean that they had genuinely entertaining fights between evenly matched fighters that were of a decent level, not lunatics who don't know how to throw a proper punch, defend themselves, or last 2 rounds without gassing out completely.
It's not just Misfits that's guilty of this, too. Jake Paul has also lost his way. When fighting Woodley, Silva, and Fury, his fights naturally attracted attention due to the fact that they were not easy fights. Now, fighting 58-year-old Mike Tyson, 135-pound Gervonta Davis (almost), and 40-year-old out-of-rehab Chavez Jr., it feels like everything in influencer boxing is more about spectacle than genuine, high-level (for influencers, at least), 50-50 boxing matches that are entertaining purely because they're good matches, not because the idea of two 400-pound men fighting each other with the risk of having a heart attack in the ring is intriguing.
We need good fights again. The Golden Age of influencer boxing (late 2022 - late 2023) is long gone because we don't get the fights we want anymore. This is the exact reason everyone tuned off from professional boxing and started watching Misfits back then. Things have completely flipped over since the Prime Card ended.
Where is Gib vs Ferguson? Till vs Froch? Deji vs Alex Wassabi 2? Deji vs Jarvis? FoxTheG vs DeenTheGreat? KSI vs anybody decent? Salt Papi vs anybody decent? It feels like everyone abandoned the ship once it started sinking, and it's practically a wasteland now, so you guys have to make up for it by including circus shows like Jordan McCann vs Ibiza Final Boss.
The whole thing needs a revamp. Just make good events with good matchups between good fighters. It really shouldn't be that hard considering how many people are signed to your promotion.
