#MGLUpdate Under its CSR initiative, MGL Hunar, MGL inaugurated a skill training centre in Ausa, Latur district on 5th June to provide free, employment-oriented training to rural youth. The centre will offer courses in plumbing, mobile repair, data entry and business correspondent services, helping participants build practical skills, improve employability and explore self-employment opportunities. Inaugurated by Mr. Yadnesh Dhuri (CEO - SBU, MGL), and Mr. Rakesh Tidke (GA Head, Latur), the initiative is expected to benefit over 400 youth from Latur and Dharashiv districts through industry-recognized certification and job placement assistance.

#MGLUpdate On World Environment Day 2026, MGL, under its CSR initiative "MGL Hariyali", inaugurated the Rapid Forest Project at ITI Nilanga in Latur district. The programme was graced by Mr. Pradeep Durge, Joint Director, DVET., Mr. Sharad Zhadake, Sub-Divisional Officer, Nilanga, Mr. Yadnesh Dhuri, CEO-SBU, MGL and Mr. Rakesh Tidke, GA Head, Latur. 60,000 native trees will be planted across the campuses of ITI Nilanga, Ausa and Latur, using the Miyawaki method to create dense green cover, support biodiversity and nurture a habitat for birds, butterflies, bees and other species.

#MGLUpdate - MGL Sahayogi Rapid infrastructure growth across MMR brings progress, but it also brings responsibility! To help protect MGL's underground gas pipeline network, MGL launched the Mechanical Excavator Operator Incentivization Scheme in October 2025. Under this initiative, JCB and other mechanical excavator operators are encouraged to inform MGL about upcoming excavation activities through the MGL Sahayogi Number, so that the required safety guidance can be provided in advance. The response has been encouraging, with over 500 operators already registered. Each registered operator has received an initial incentive of Rs 1,000 & 10 operators from the first two batches have also qualified for a reward of Rs 10,000 each for consistently informing MGL about excavation activity over four months, without any pipeline damage. MGL appeals to all excavation machinery operators to participate in this initiative and all citizens to be #MGLSahayogi to help ensure safer, more responsible excavation practices across the city.
