I'm thinking of moving into a different research direction in the future. Of course, my thesis is still going to be on Gaussian processes and I still have a couple of projects to complete. But overall, I'm thinking about how to lay the groundwork for my next step. I'm hesitating between several directions: LLM (text to image/video), Bayesian optimisation, generative methods (diffusion and flow matching), ML4Science (drug discovery, climate science, etc.) and ML4Code. Any thoughts?

Introducing Stable Code Instruct 3B, our new instruction tuned LLM based on Stable Code 3B. With natural language prompting, this model can handle a variety of tasks such as code generation, math and other software engineering related outputs.
This model’s performance rivals models of similar or larger sizes, including Codellama 7B Instruct and DeepSeek-Coder Instruct 1.3B.
The model is available now for commercial and non-commercial use with a Stability AI Membership.
