🚀 We’re beyond excited to announce marqablys latest open source project: 🚀
Flites — an open-source, cross-platform sprite editor built with Flutter! 🦋🔥
Together with
@Benauerdev,
@jacob_aes , we built a tool that makes creating & managing complex sprite animations so much easier — available for Web, Linux, macOS and Windows! 💻🌐
And the best part:
It's flutter, it's open source and free.
🧩 While working on
@FlutterDev &
@BlueFireOSS Flame games for client campaigns, we often had to rework and tweak character animations again and again — and every tiny change meant hours of tedious sprite rearranging in tools like GIMP. 😩
So we thought: there has to be a better way! 💡
That’s why we created Flites (Flutter Sprites ;) ) — a modern, intuitive sprite editor that helps you:
🎨 Edit and manage sprite sheets with ease
🎯 Create hitboxes visually
⚙️ Generate code automatically
🗺️ Export full, detailed sprite maps
After months of hard work, we’re thrilled to open source Flites — for everyone to use, learn from, and improve! ❤️
Flites isn’t just a tool — it’s also a real-world example of how a full cross-platform Flutter desktop app looks, works, and deploys.
If you love
@flutterdev or
@flameengine, we’d be so happy if you checked it out, shared it, or starred it on GitHub ⭐

We can’t wait to see what the community builds with Flites! 💪✨
