I like the Huey on my 300 blk out. I don’t use magnifiers though it’s a 5 inch barrel so it’s reticle has a triangle in the bottom and a dot so I can use it at some distances judging supers and subs
I 100% don’t think it’s for everyone

I never played on a 2DS. I played on a DS and a 3DS. My GBC was less comfortable than either of those because of the size, shape, and the fact that I needed one of those magnifiers to see anything, lol.

Interesting. Magnifiers normally cause at least some upward shift in your zero. How far out have you taken it?

out of curiosity for these style of mounts, is the pic rail behind the dot plate mainly for magnifiers or offset mounts? I've seen plenty with the pic at the front for lasers but more recently seeing these styles pop up every once in a while

I’ll digress and say the m4 is still a better platform but absolutely not as it is in its current configuration. It’s 20 years late to removing the FSP for conventional dudes.
But as individual platforms the M27 is absolutely better than the M7. Anyone who simps for the M7 is a non shooter. Absolutely no part of that contract was a good idea other than giving dudes MAWL’s, LPVO’s and Eotechs with magnifiers. Any justification of the M7’s existence is borderline treason.

Funny enough, during the GWOT days, before dedicated magnifiers were common, people would run 3.5x/4x Acogs behind Eotechs or RDS to magnify them.
