#MasoreticNotes Lesson 3: Mp continued. So, the 'leit' note is the simplest of the counting notes: just one occurrence. If some textual feature occurs 2ce, this is marked with a ב in the margin; 3 times - ג, and so on. How high can the numbers go?
#MasoreticNotes lesson 2: Masora Parva (Mp) Most common Mp note is just ל, an abbreviated form of Aramaic לית, ‘there is not [another instance]’ It indicates that s/thing about the annotated word/phrase is unique. eg this is the only short imperative: 'riddle!' in whole #Bible
