Started class with a Bike Shop #MenuMath created by @gfletchy (with a few modifications). Students found all possible solutions in a table of values and graphed. Then found which solutions satisfied which constraints. Some great thinking. #ITeachMath @NatBanting

Ask for each individually, and then move into overlapping constraints

Started off class today with a linear functions #menumath task (from @nomad_penguin). First asked students to come up with an equation for each constraint, then satisfy all contraints with the fewest equations possible. #ITeachMath natbanting.com/menu-math/

Robin shares "Menu Math" with an example involving fractions...how few fractions can you use to meet all the criteria?
How few parabolas to meet all these (other) criteria? Quadrilateral? Linear relations? Data sets? Functions in calculus? Etc.
