I’m hard pressed to see (2007) Mudflap as a bad guy, beginning with my love for Cybertron Mudflap and ending with his beginning, G1 Erector, one of my favorite Micromasters.

of course cores and micromasters still exist, you just have to suck it up and spend $85 for a whole bunch of shit you don't want in order to get the one $10 value now

What do bananas and iPhones have in common? Perishability. Bananas spoil. iPhones lose value as newer models are released. Different timelines, same supply chain challenge: How much inventory should you have, and when? In our latest podcast, @mitsupplychain Executive Director Chris Caplice explains how supply chains work, where they break down, and why understanding them has become more important than ever. 🎧: bit.ly/4amIaBa

Somehow they made the best micromasters first. Like seriously they peaked at wave 1.

I'll stick to Dr Wu, the micromasters from the Siege line were very mixed on terms of quality & features

Are you saying this positively or negatively, cause micromasters have been 5 bucks since siege

Honestly considering current voyager prices I would absolutely call it good value, most of the minicons are like micromasters/micormaster so probably like 5/6 bucks which ends up making Red Alert anywhere from like old voyager prices to a couple bucks less than current prices.

They all look more like Micromasters than minicons IMO.

It's still steep AF. I miss the days where Mini-Cons were sold separately, let alone Micromasters were just hanging on peg shelves. This FOMO pricing and availability is why I shifting gears to collecting Siege/WFC stuff.

The three large Formulator Force vehicles (jet, car, tank) are pretty easy to find and usually not too expensive. Some versions of the “Mighty Minis” sets (just slightly bigger than G1 Micromasters) can be a little harder to find 🤔

Do these have pegs like the WFC Micromasters had? Remember that the Armada Legacy figures have ports where their powerlinx pegs were.

Siege was peak Hasbro/Takara Tomy. 🛻No compromises on deco or plastic quality. 🛻The engineering was solid enough to handle play without breaking. 🛻Battlemasters and Micromasters with blast effects added real variety. 🛻They were action figures first; perfect for collectors to display their favorite characters. 🛻Pricing and size classes all made sense in hindsight. The battle damage might turn some people off, but I find it endearing. Hasbro usually skimps on deco across their lines, so these figures actually have a distinct visual identity that screams “better times” at the company; before Chris Cocks decided to min/max everything on the production side. That’s exactly why I’m only going back to collect Siege and WFC figures. Most of the G1 cast I actually care about came out in that sweet, short window. Seeing how Hasbro is just recycling old Siege molds should tell you how good they were and still are today. Hasbro, you shit the bed.

finally, the "lost member" or the (Brea/Che)stforce, Deathcobra! he was killed in battle by the cruel and violent Autobot Micromasters...
rounding out the orginal team, it's Drillhorn! I frequently mix up him and Nosecone's names, probably because they are counterparts in Earth Wars (where Drillhorn is also conspicuously pink)

The quantum industry's biggest bottleneck isn't hardware or algorithms — it's people. Purdue University just launched a multi-tiered quantum degree program spanning undergraduate certificates, graduate degrees, and professional MicroMasters. It is built around a striking projection: 550% regional job growth in quantum technology between 2030 and 2035. What makes this notable is the architecture. Rather than a single degree track, Purdue designed multiple entry points, from a quantum minor for curious undergrads to specialized PhD concentrations for deep researchers and an online MicroMasters for working professionals ready to pivot. It is a workforce pipeline, not just a curriculum. The infrastructure backing it is equally serious, featuring over 65 faculty through the Purdue Quantum Science and Engineering Institute, hands-on access to the Birck Nanotechnology Center, and an on-campus Microsoft Quantum Lab where industry and academia share the same walls. This matters because commercializing quantum systems requires more than just a brilliant qubit. Scaling hardware into utility demands engineers, software developers, and domain experts who understand quantum principles deeply enough to apply them. Programs like this are how the field moves from breakthrough demos to real-world deployment in materials design, cybersecurity, and drug discovery. The quantum economy will be built by the people we train today #QuantumComputing
