Mid-Career Training–II (MCT–II) Program for 19 IP&TAFS Group ‘A’ Officers was conducted over 2 weeks, with one week at IIM Indore from 5 to 9 January, 2026 and week 2 at the National Communications Academy-Finance (NCA-F) from 12 to 16 January, 2026. The program was designed as a structured mid-career intervention to enable officers to reflect, upskill and reorient themselves strategically for higher responsibilities in public service.
At NCA-F, officers engaged with focused sessions on Regulatory Frameworks, Opportunities & Challenges in the Indian Telecom & Postal sectors, Leadership & Motivation, Behavioral Economics Perspectives in Decision-making, Ethics in Governance, Emotional Intelligence, Conflict Resolution, Team building, Negotiation Skills and Lessons in Work-life Balance through the lens of Indian Knowledge Systems.
Several distinguished officers and domain experts enriched these thematic discussions with grounded perspectives. Regulatory concepts were explored by Sh. G. K. Singh, DG, IICA, while challenges and opportunities in the postal sector were examined through sessions by Sh. Ganesh V. Sawaleshwarkar, CPMG Gujarat. Sh. Vikram Tiwathia, DDG, COAI, helped participants connect policy intent with field-level realities and telecom industry dynamics.
The participants were evaluated at different stages of the program through group presentations & MCQ based Test. The program concluded with a valedictory address by Ms. Madhavi Das, Director General, NCA-F, who underscored the importance of reflective practice, ethical leadership and continuous learning as officers transition to higher roles. Participant feedback highlighted the program's relevance, thematic depth and the engaging learning environment fostered during the course.
