Supporters of @MiddlesexCCC left frustrated once again as they follow up a convincing win against @Lancashire at #OldTrafford with a limp defeat at Lord's by 7 wickets against @Derbyshire. Young fast bowler Sharma looked promising , newcomer Caleb Falconer made some good looking runs in his 2nd 1st class match but @TobyRolandJones , who has seen better days for the club, was left trying his best as ever with bat & ball to no avail.

With due respect to @AndrewStrauss who I admired enormously as @MiddlesexCCC & @englandcricket captain but now seems to promote the Swipe & Bash game, ALL the excitement, thrills, record breaking and tight finishes this Spring have come from @CountyChamp & now @testcricket with Gus Atkinson's sensation 7 wkts debut at Lord's.

I will go as far as to say that administrators who leave large chunks of the summer without Test or @CountyChamp cricket don't really understand the game. At least @MiddlesexCCC are playing Red Ball on Sunday.
