The war, the geopolitical uncertainty and the new arms race started by Putin have left Europe with no choice. Europe must be ready for this race, and Russia will lose it like the Soviet Union 40 years ago. From today, Europe will arm itself more wisely and faster than Russia.

We look forward to continuing our joint work with Germany to protect lives, bring real peace closer to Ukraine, and strengthen Europe.
Europe must be able to defend itself, develop its industries, and achieve the necessary results. Europe needs shared successes, and those success will bring even greater unity to Europe.

2025 is the 250th anniversary of the Battle of Quebec, in which Canadian militiamen, indigenous scouts, and British regulars crushed an invading American army, killing their general and wounding Benedict Arnold. It would be a grand thing if we commemorated the anniversary.
