On the subject of noise, I've noticed how much difference the 20 limit makes. Especially around Millfields. You just don't hear the traffic when you are away from the road. Used to be a constant hum

Clapton Stadium was originally named Whittles Athletic Ground and was mostly used for whippet racing. It hosted football until 1930 and greyhound racing between 1927 and 1974. It was later demolished, making way for the Millfields housing estate in the early 1980s.

“the 'old' Orient stand that was installed at Plough L.
The stand was sold by Clapton Orient when it was removed to allow ground development at Millfields Rd. It remained at Plough Lane right up to when the ground was demolished”
