I opened a ZERO balance account with DBS through a bank representative on the roadside under an umbrella, without visiting a branch. However, I have now been charged ₹500 GST for “not maintaining minimum balance,” which is quite confusing.
If the account was initially offered as zero balance, I kindly request clarification on why minimum balance penalties are being applied later.
When I requested account closure, I was informed that I must visit a branch, which is quite far from my location. While opening the account was made very convenient, I request the same convenience when closing it.
I also faced a few service-related issues:
1. Unable to add this account to the PF portal (“Service not available”)
2. Attempted cash withdrawal at a DBS ATM, but no cash was available
3. Despite this, charges are still being applied for minimum balance
I respectfully request that such concerns be reviewed, as customers rely on basic banking services.
Banks operate on customer trust and funds, so I hope for fair and transparent service in return.
If you wish me to continue with your bank, kindly convert my account to a zero balance account and refund my hard-earned money.
Alternatively, I request you to please close my account without requiring a branch visit.
I kindly request you to please close my account without requiring a branch visit.
Looking forward to your support and resolution.
