No idea how old you are, but throughout 1990s, BJP had no money and all work was done by volunteers [mostly school/college kids, who spent pocket money buying gum for posters, and campaigned, braving Jihadis, EJs and Commies]. Without those Hindus, BJP wouldn't be in power now.
