From March 26-28, 2021, Narendra Modi visited Dhaka on the occasion of Bangladesh’s golden jubilee of independence and Bangabandhu’s birth centenary.
Protests and violent incidents occurred in various parts of the country surrounding the visit.
On March 26, several people were killed in police firing in Hathazari, Chittagong, and on March 28, police and League terrorists attacked during clashes in the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque area of Dhaka.
According to reports by various human rights organizations and media outlets, at least 17 people were killed in the violence during that period.
