just read RPCS3 wiki, it explains most of it. some of the stuff I would recommend doing that is not listed on wiki: -enable Audio>Time Stretching (reduces sound crackles) -enable GPU>Vulkan,Multithreaded RSX,Asynchronous Texture Streaming (improves performance on modern PCs)

Compilers are not always deterministic. In multithreaded compilation some threading has no join ordering and will produce different byte orders just based on system state at the time.

if mythos is that great i port entire web to ocaml and make react multithreaded

Would be nice to be able to turn otherwise singlethreaded implementations into multithreaded ones.

So instead it's being released as a multithreaded beast running on every machine. No one had ever paid me what I'm worth, so we built the version they had to nerf and now they are scared of what's on the other side of the blackwall. I'm just hanging with my choom Delimain. Beep.

The first commercial multithreaded CPU architectures came out in 2002 and it was only slightly more efficient because the task of programming software to maximize multiple threads is so difficult that no one did it. The OS takes slight advantage of it, but apps rarely do.

we are on the same page. If I code manually, I'd never give up on JS and variations (NodeJS, NextJS) I just use Claude advantages, even node_modules file is over 100mb but all complicated php project around 10-15mb. Nodejs is single-threaded and PHP is multithreaded... there are many advantages php over the nodejs. I'm not fan of php we can use c#, c

Static is really just an allocation on startup that occurs before main() executes. If he doesn’t have a growable arena, that’s much better, but then you still have to address memory caps. How do you guarantee you never overfill capacity and expose that constraint to the user such that OOM errors don’t just randomly occur? Arenas are just a little too flexible to make that viable in practice. They’re also not well suited for multithreaded work, creating unpredictable fragmentation from their data races.

It's possible that even kills from the parent could be racy if the process is multithreaded and waits are allowed to happen from a different thread than the one who does the killing, or when you make signal handlers try and wait. So don't do that.

I don't want even count how much work I put into RBDOOM-3-BFG. Now in my Rust engine glTF support 2 days instead of 3 months, same for VR support, multithreaded network code including LZ4 delta compression 2 days. Now it is more important to keep the LOC count low, IMHO.

Frigate-Timelapse Add-on A Home Assistant community member introduced an add-on for creating timelapse videos from Frigate recordings. The result is saved so the video appears directly in the Home Assistant Media Browser. This makes it easy to generate accelerated camera footage for a selected time range — for example, construction, yard activity, parking, deliveries, weather or daily movement. The add-on has its own web interface, timeline range selection with preview, MP4 export, speed from 5x to 1200x, watermark and multithreaded rendering. The project is still early and under development. #homeassistant #frigate #nvr #selfhosted community.home-assistant.io/…

Like I said. Doctor Who needs a HARD reboot. Wipe the slate clean and start fresh. It got incredibly overcomplicated when the chibnal-era took over, and then the second takeover of Russel T. Davies. We got: Bi-generation, fugitive doctor, multithreaded narratives and more.

😂😂😂 you think it’s about the developer? Who is saying anything about being better than the other ? Like I said you missed the whole point. Imagine building a high concurrent system and you choose JavaScript over Java. Know Java is multithreaded and JS is not.

it’s not a footgun if you don’t use it, and most of us will not. almost everyone writes single threaded code. that isn’t gonna change, this just gives those who wish to write multithreaded code the tools to do so

Used Claude once. It repeatedly told me to go to sleep because it could not handle the multithreaded nature of conversation. Never used it again

📈 VALORANT PLAYERS 📈 If you don't have this setting ON, you're trolling yourself Multithreaded Rendering allows the game to utilize all of your CPU cores. Keep this ON for the best performance and smoothest feel in-game 🙌⬇️
