I'd love to measure how much more efficient AI has made me. Am I 10x or 100x? 🤔
Here's what I got done in my 8-hour workday yesterday. I have no idea how many days this would have taken someone without AI:
- Started with a 1-hour podcast (no AI version of me for this yet...?).
- Continued building a experimental SaaS I'm working on - created a multisite bootstrap mu-plugin, customer role WP-CLI provisioning (I don't even know what most of that means).
- Integrated Claude with the Google Ads API and used it to analyze our performance and propose milestone-based pay increases for a team member.
- Wired up my custom reporting plugin to both the Shopify and Mantle APIs for our automated daily email.
- Built a monthly SEO report pulling from all our data sources (Google Analytics, EDD sales, DataForSEO for search and AI visibility) that assesses the situation and makes specific recommendations we can push into our content tools.
- Built a plugin that calculates the total sites using each plugin, rounds it, and updates the number on our sales pages (I used to do this manually every 6 months).
- Added the tips I picked up at
#WCEU to our writing guidelines on GitHub.
- Claude told me how to fix my broken webcam software and optimize the settings.
- Fixed an issue with Google Ads visits being tracked as referrals.
- Helped a team member connect their Claude with ClickUp.
- Created a skill so every time I ask Claude to make a document, it clones the Barn2 Google Docs template with the right header and typography (shared with the team).
- Added a Shopify page to my reporting plugin with marketing and financial data.
- Went through a year of Help Scout tickets and customer reviews across multiple sites, and summarized key insights for content marketing (audited negative reviews too - nothing actionable).
- Fixed a bug with the wrong knowledge base articles showing in our Help Scout Beacon.
- Used Claude to analyze our subscription data and work through reasons to change licensing system.
- Submitted one of our plugins to a directory, including writing the descriptions.
- Improved the accuracy of the automatic time tracking that a team member shared.
- Plus numerous management tasks without AI - approved UI designs and marketing emails, answered team queries, etc.
And I'm not even a developer.
What multiple would you put on your productivity with AI?
